Navigate the Results Tree Pane

 

1.      Perform a search and locate the Results Tree Pane.

 

 

 

2.    A list is created each time you perform a search.  The name of the list appears in the Results Tree Pane.  Click the list name to view the contents of the list in the results screen.

 

 

3.    To open a list in the Tree Pane, click the [+] next to a member of that list.

 

 

 

 

4.    You can quickly link to a specific fact in that record by clicking on one of the fields displayed for that record in the Results Tree Pane.

 

 

 

5.      During a session, you may switch between databases to perform different searches. The lists created in each databases can quickly be viewed using the results tree pane without having to reenter the database that created the list. 

 

 

 

 

6.     List names that begin with Q: are lists that were created from queries. While viewing a hitset, you can extract a list of citations, reactions, or substances from that hitset, thus creating a new list (use the Get button).  The new list name will begin with L:.

 

 

 

 

7.    Session hitset lists will be deleted at the end of your session.  To save a hitset list, select File> Save Hitset as… Saved lists can also be viewed from the Results Tree Pane.
