Chapters from Searching CrossFire Databases - based on CrossFire Beilstein
These chapters cover the basics for searching CrossFire databses with CrossFire Commander.
1. Introduction - Find information about conecting to the CrossFire server, the Beilstein database structure, elements included in Beilstein, the layout of the interface and the structure editors.
2. Data Searching - use the Predefined Search Forms, learn about the datastructure tree, perform a multiple data parameter search and find reaction data.
3. Basic Structure Searching - draw structures with the CrossFire Structure Editor, view results, link to experimental data, learn about structure query options such as eliminating rings.
4. Refined Substructure Searching - generalize your query with predefined generic groups, specify bond topology and control substitution on your results.
5. User-defined and Nested Generic Groups - create queries that allow for ring expansion, define the frequency of a substituent list, limit your results to certain substituents and locations.
6. Stereochemistry - use absolute and relative stereochemistry features, search for racemic structures, specify (E or Z) stereochemistry.
7. Reaction searching - map a reaction, find similar reactions, search for inversion reactions, map reaction centers.
8. Manipulating results - copy data, create reports and spreadsheets, export to other applications.
